What is a guest folio in a hotel?
A guest folio is the running account of a guest's stay: every charge (room tariff, restaurant orders, services) and every payment posts to it, and checkout requires the folio to balance to zero. In Flocci Hotels ERP the folio is live — a POS 'Post to Room' lands on it instantly.
The folio is where fragmented hotel systems hurt most. When the restaurant POS and the front desk run on separate software, room-service charges arrive on the folio via sync jobs or paper chits — and the ones that arrive after checkout become write-offs. The folio is also the legal backbone of the guest's invoice: whatever it recorded is what the GST invoice must itemize.
Flocci Hotels ERP generates the folio at check-in, posts room tariffs and F&B charges to it in real time from the same database the POS writes to, accepts multi-method settlement (cash, card, UPI), enforces a zero-balance guard before checkout, and renders the final GST invoice PDF — with slab-correct CGST/SGST splits and a UPI QR code — from the folio itself.
