How should a small independent hotel in India choose management software?
Check five things: one database across front desk, POS and housekeeping (not modules that sync); Indian compliance built in (GST slabs, PF/ESI, e-KYC); pricing that scales down (avoid per-room minimums and annual lock-ins); realtime kitchen and housekeeping screens; and a real trial with realistic data before any payment.
Most 'all-in-one' suites are acquisitions stitched together — the PMS, POS and accounting sync on schedules, and reconciliation becomes your night shift's job. Ask a vendor directly: does a restaurant order hit the guest folio in the same database, or through an integration?
India-specific gaps are the second trap. Global PMSs often treat GST slab routing, PF/ESI payroll and Aadhaar/DigiLocker e-KYC as customizations or third-party add-ons; for an Indian property they are daily operations.
Flocci Hotels ERP was built against exactly this checklist: one schema across every module, GST/PF/ESI/e-KYC native, credit-based pricing with no per-room minimum or annual lock-in, realtime collaboration boards, and a free auto-provisioned 14-day demo seeded with realistic data — no card, no sales call. Compare it honestly against eZee, Hotelogix, Cloudbeds and DJUBO on our comparison pages.
