What do hotel housekeeping status codes mean (dirty, clean, inspected, OOO)?
Housekeeping codes describe a room's sale-readiness: DIRTY (guest departed, needs cleaning), CLEAN (cleaned, awaiting supervisor check), INSPECTED (approved and sellable), OUT_OF_ORDER (blocked for maintenance), and AVAILABLE (in the sellable pool). Disciplined hotels only assign inspected rooms — Flocci enforces that gate at check-in.
The codes exist because 'cleaned' and 'ready to sell' are different claims. A supervisor inspection between CLEAN and INSPECTED is what stops a guest walking into a room with a missed minibar or a broken AC. OUT_OF_ORDER removes a room from inventory entirely so forecasting stays honest.
